Uncle John’s Elk Creek Campground is located right on the world famous Elk Creek, about a mile from the mouth, which is known for steelhead fishing. If you’ve never fished for steelhead, you don’t know what you’re missing! They’re one of the hardest-fighting fresh water fish, pound for pound. Steelhead begin their run in September and continue through April. Get here and get in on the action!


Uncle John’s Elk Creek Campground features 15 sprawling acres for camping and hiking. We have cozy, heated cabins or furnished railroad cars, each with its own fire ring—perfect for stories about “the one that got away.” RV camping is available creek side, complete with electrical, water, and dump station hook-ups.
